Let's Think

Sarah Seleznyov is a Let’s Think Maths tutor for primary.  Sarah has been a tutor for over 15 years and worked on the development of a new suite of lessons for Year 4 pupils.  She is a Trustee of the Let’s Think Forum.  Sarah also leads a Teaching School in London with a successful teacher training programme, and 42 member schools who benefit from an extensive programme of professional development and school improvement support.  She has formerly worked at UCL Institute of Education as a programme leader in the London Centre For Leadership In Learning, a cross-phase school improvement consultant and a deputy headteacher. She is a published author, with a specialism in research-informed professional development, especially Japanese lesson study.

Michael Walsh is lead Let’s Think English Tutor for primary and secondary. Michael co-developed and created the Let’s Think in English programme with Laurie Smith at King’s since 2009 and is a Trustee of the Let’s Think Forum. 
Michael also directs and leads a voluntary collaborative of 23 schools in Islington, London called: Futurezone. He was a secondary English teacher before being seconded to lead teaching and learning for an Education Action Zone. He was a consultant for the School Improvement Team in Islington and has worked, advised and collaborated with the Arsenal Study Support, British Film Institute, English Heritage, Open University as well as leading LTE internationally in Europe, South America and South East Asia.

Leah Crawford is a Tutor for Let’s Think in English Cognitive Acceleration programme, is a consultant and writer for Bob Cox’s Opening Doors publications and has her own education consultancy Thinktalk, supporting dialogic approaches in cross-phase English provision. She has 15 years experience as a Local Authority English Inspector/Adviser, working across the primary and secondary phases on school improvement and professional development working in collaboration with the QCA and Globe Education. In her school career, she held pastoral and subject leader roles. She has completed a Masters in Education Degree on teacher learning and development and is supporting a European Erasmus project on the Assessment of thinking skills.

Alex Black has been teaching for 36 years, of which the last 30 years were in an International School in Zürich. He has taught from grade 2 to 12 including IB Diploma Biology, Theory of Knowledge and Middle years Science. Also he was involved in teaching Physics in English and German in a Swiss gymnasium bilingual programme. He is a member of the Let’s Think Forum council. Which is a continuation of his career long involvement in the development of teachers in cognitive acceleration methodologies and action research in classrooms. He occasionally writes for the Times Educational Supplement.
